Billion Cruise Line AuditSolutions spent the better part of a year courting this Miami-based cruise line until they finally gave us the opportunity to perform our unique recovery audit for them. Intuitively, our client-to-be could see where we would add an enormous benefit to their overall profit recovery efforts, but they were concerned because they had an ongoing relationship with another third party firm that was reviewing historical accounts payable data. The last thing they wanted to do was create an adversarial relationship among their vendors. We offered several references confirming that our distinctive process would audit a different set of data, and attesting to the fact that the incidence of overlap between our audit and that of typical AP auditing firm was a statistical zero. After a few more meetings and some compelling empirical evidence to support our claims, the icebergs began to melt and we were finally cruising. Shortly after beginning our review and shattering their recovery expectations they were literally asking us why didn’t we “insist” them to start earlier. Our recoveries have been exceptional, and what’s more is, we require less than an hour each week for our client to support our work. Our contacts at the cruise line are very complimentary of our service and they understand now what we were claiming all along with regard to how our product complements existing AP auditing efforts seamlessly, without overlapping existing controls. …but the greatest compliment we can receive is when our contact person at the cruise line offers us contact names from other companies because, as she puts it, AuditSolutions has "a great service” and she wants her “friends and other corporations to benefit from it.” |
