$2 Billion Fast Food Chain

At the time we approached this company they were already in the middle of an engagement with a long-time auditor.  After a few conversations, however, they were able to see a recovery solution that was simply being over-looked.  Based on those earliest discussions it became clear that their particular business model posed many difficulties for outside auditing firms, and that their convoluted vendor file made the prospect of providing a thorough statement review a virtual impossibility for typical AP audit firms.

With our expertise being firmly planted in the review of vendor information, we were able to quickly and efficiently sort through an imposing list of suppliers, contractors, and franchisees.  Applying our unique methods, we updated contact information and established a more accurate picture of the parent/subsidiary relationships that existed within their  vendor population.  Our acute organization allowed us to penetrate more deeply into the accounts receivable ledgers of our client's suppliers, and to report previously unrecognizable opportunities for profit recovery.

Though we required very little time of our clients, this particular company had recently undergone a major  internal change and additional stresses had been placed on their AP department.  With sensitivity to their diminished time, we were able to adjust our audit so that our client could still support it despite their extreme workload.

Apparently our unique approach and our ability to adapt was not overlooked.  At a lunch meeting several months after the audit began, our contact person insisted that not only were our recoveries impressive, but that we were the easiest audit firm to work with by far.
